A Message from Chief Greg Egloff

Its no secret being a member of the East Aurora Fire Department is a commitment of time. These many hours are spent not only responding to calls but participating in ongoing training. We conducted a Total of 64 Drills between Department and Company. That averages out to 5 drills per month and over 1500 man hours of training!

These training sessions are conducted to both ensure the safety of our firefighters and deliver the highest quality of fire and EMS services to the residents and visitors of the Village of East Aurora and the Town of Aurora.

In addition, in 2016 there were dozens of community and public relations events that firefighters participated in.

On behalf of myself and all the members of the EAFD, we appreciate the steadfast support of the community which we serve!

In 2016 we again applied for a FEMA grant to replace our current SCBAs which are nearly 30 years old. With the hard work and dedication of Captain Don Janish, I am happy to report we were successful in obtaining that grant for $236,305.00 which paid for our new Scott SCBAs.

The East Aurora Fire Department was alerted for a total of 1075 calls in 2016

  • EMS 714
  • Fire/Misc 361
This equates to more than 5200 man hours! An amazing job by all.
